Could be an E or an early F. You'll need to check the frame and engine numbers to be sure.
The engine looks F as it does not have the pull start and has a kickstart but then this could be a retrofit. |

I believe that the model E would have legshields that could not be removed, my guess is it was the tail end of the E frames. It is certainly an early F as it has the early forks and front mudguard along with the internal HT coil. The seats were also changed later on for ones as used on the model D, so I understand.

Does anyone know if an instruction for workshop manual was ever printed for the model F. If so is an English version available.

Well according to Tessera's book the E model frame numbers run from 000001 - 42352 and the F to 32701. But a well accepted fact is that the early F was basically an E but without the pull start and Innocenti were just using up the left overs from the unsuccessful E model. In-fact I have an Early F which although bears the F frame prefix, the progressive frame number is actually from the E run - F 417** ! Strange I know but I think we have to keep an open mind with Innocenti and there are often such anomalies.
Just read your post again, what Italian papers do you have, is it a "Carta di circolazione" (book) or "Estratto chronologico" (single sheet) ? if it's the first one I beleive that it should have the Model type, frame number and engine prefix in which case you can verify the authenticity. If it's the latter document there'll probably less info to go on. |

| Yes know the type. As I thought, there is no reference to engine number (even though the form has a line for it) usually made. |
