| Introduction |
General Behaviour These rules are designed to ensure users feel safe and keen to participate. Failure to abide by them can result in a warning or outright dismissal and being banned. Please remember Junior Lambretta Club Memebers also use these forums, that could include your children!
LCGB administrators and moderators reserve the right to edit, delete or lock entire threads whenever it is felt that the rules are being broken.- Respect other forum members - No one comes to these boards to be flamed or abused, therefore you will refrain from directly attacking or humiliating a forum member(s)
- Report inappropriate behaviour - If you witness a forum member abusing the forum and it's members alert any one or more of the moderation staff, you can find them in this list.
- New members - Everyone was new once, and due to the nature of this site there are always forum members new to the world of Lambretta. Treat new members as you would anyone else, we do not tolerate flaming of newcomers, so don't even try.
The above are basic rules and are not hard to follow, The LCGB has a fairly relaxed forum atmosphere but if you take advantage of that we will be forced to take action.
Thanks
LCGB Moderator Team

The Rules
- These forums are intended for help and advice with all apsects of repairing, riding and owning a Lambretta, not music, fashion, polotics or other non Lambretta items.
- You may not post topics regarding discontent of shops, products or services. This is due to the right of reply, your views are one side of the story, please take up any issues you have with your supplying dealer. This ruling also applies to e-bay and its users.
- Please post in English! We can't provide translations, although it is acceptable to post foreign information if the poster translates the message as necessary.
- Advertising within the forum is not allowed in any way shape or form except of course the for sale and wanted section, but this remains for non commercial use only. You can however mention relevant, non-commercial websites, as long as they support your comment. Companies advertising may be invoiced for the appropriate fee for commercial advertising. Our charges are explained on the main LCGB web site. Please note to clarify the terms of commercial advertising, whether trade or a private indivdual, you produce, manufacture, supply a product or products to sell to others. If you are in any doubt as to whether you qualify as commercial or trade, please contact a moderator first, thus avoiding any confusion, ignorance will not ensure a free advert.
- If you tout for bussiness on these forums in either public messages or private messages, you will be invoiced for advertising.
- Do not use insulting, threatening or provoking language.
- Do not incite 'flaming' on the basis of race, religion, politics, gender, nationality or sexuality - or any other personal characteristic.
- Do not swear, use hate-speech or make obscene and vulgar comments, .
- Do not break the law. This includes libel, condoning illegal activity and contempt of court (i.e. writing anything that might affect the outcome of an approaching court case).
- Do not link to, or refer to, illegal downloads of applications, games, copyrighted images, movies, music or anything else that is being illegally distributed. This includes hacks, keygens, serials and filesharing services. Users that post, or ask for, such information relating to this (e.g. links) will be banned.
- You may post a small amount of third party material, but to avoid breaching copyright you must credit the author and publication. Wherever possible, please provide a link to the material instead.
- Please don't post the same message/comment to more than one forum. If a message is posted in the wrong area, simply ask for it to be moved to a more appropriate place.
- You may not impersonate or falsely claim to represent a person or organisation. Misleading other users by abusing the registration procedure will result in the account being terminated immediately. Additionally, companies must not register false user names to promote their company/services.
- Do not post private addresses or phone numbers, including your own. You may post email addresses, as long as it is made clear who they belong to.
- Attempting to post invitations (either on the forum, or via private messaging to individual users) to MLM/Pyramid schemes may result in a warning or instant ban. Do not post adverts or links to such sites.
- If a post is edited, or a thread is locked or deleted, we will usually give you an explanation - unless it is totally obvious that it broke one (or more) of these rules. Do not restart a thread or ask on the forum why the message/thread was removed. These messages will be deleted and a warning given.
- You may edit your post at a later date, but please do not abuse this by changing a message to make people who have replied look stupid. If you need to change a significant part of your message, please insert the word 'Edit:' and explain what has been changed. If you wish to retract a message completely, please delete it (or ask for it to be removed).
- When replying to a message in any thread, please quote selectively and resist the temptation to quote the whole message to add an 'I agree' type reply. Other users can already see the original message/s above yours.
- Please do not post messages simply to increase your post count. The LCGB does not reward users who reach 1000, 10000 or 100000 posts. Anyone who is clearly trying to up his or her post count without contributing anything useful will be given a warning. These messages will be deleted, which consequently lowers the post count. Don't waste your time!
- If a user receives a number of warnings, on or off the forum, we reserve the right to delete that user - and if necessary ban them from returning.

| Image Attachments, Signatures & Avatars |
The Use of Images While many users have access to broadband/3G connections, there are still users on ordinary dialup or connecting over GSM. We ask that you show respect to these users by thinking about the size of any images you work with. If you do not understand how to resize, or reduce file sizes of images we would suggest you do not post images within your messages.
Image Attachments - If you wish to post large images (e.g. megapixel camera images), please try to use the LCGB members picture service, as this will resize and help you post the correct picture. If you link to a picture off site, try and post them as a link to a remote host, so users can choose whether to load the picture or not. Alternatively, consider posting a smaller version (thumbnail) with a link to the full size version. Images wider than approximately 500 pixels cause the forum to 'stretch' horizontally. This makes it harder to read posts, so please resize - or link to them off site. Signatures - At present we do not allow signatures due to the no advertising policy we run on this site.Avatars - Please do not use an avatar wider than 80 pixels and do not use excessive .GIF animations (as a guide, please keep them below 20KB). Your avatar may not contain advertising or anything else that breaches the main rules above. If you fail to abide by these rules, you may lose the right to have an avatar on your account.
